Stalking Awareness Initiative Facts About Stalking Stalking Law Resources   STALKED He is invisible, evident only in the effects he leaves behind like a virus or a mysterious malady. No one believes he lurks outside my house, reaches his tentacles into my phone lines, crawls into my mailbox, shoplifts my past, muddies the waters of my future. My brain struggles to create a strategy for survival. My heart has established a rapid, persistent drumbeat that my body can barely contain. In bed I feel the air disturbed above my face as he clenches my sleep in his fist then melts back into the shadows leaving me wide-eyed with terror.
